It's a glamorous life, people

Remember how just yesterday I mentioned that I may or may not have dropped our camera on the kitchen floor? Well, apparently there was some "impact damage" done to the lens. The amount it would cost to fix the thing is only $30 less than buying a new one so...Merry Christmas to me.
It's actually good that I don't have a camera around today because if I did, I would scare the stink out of you...being a Mommy? Well, it's not always pretty.  If I had my camera and took pictures of our day you would see:
-Scarlett in my bed because she has a nasty cough and a 102*fever
-Scarlett wiping her faucet of a nose on my comforter
-Me, not showering (let's be totally honest, I don't think I even put on deoderant today)
-Clark, playing with a baggie of rubber bands so that I could play on the computer
-Clark (still in his pajamas) walking around with a mini twix bar in his mouth...wrapper and all
-Me, eating that twix. Sure, it's slobbery, but honestly...we've shared more germs than this, and I can't bear to see the chocolate going to waste

I'm sure there's more, but at the moment I'm drawing a blank. Plus, I don't want to totally scare off my three faithful readers.
Here's hoping your day was filled with clean hair, fresh makeup, and well children!

All moms have days like yours today but be thankful they are few and far between. Sorry to hear my sweet Scarlett is sick - praying for her speedy recovery and that no one else gets sick! Sending a hug to everyone there.

Your day sounds a bit like mine. Josh did finally come home while they were at Awana so the evening was better. I hope Scarlett feels better, soon. I'll say a little prayer for her. Here's to a better day tomorrow! :)

Well, i got my hair and make-up done just to discover a sick kid. Wasted make-up and hair spray today, but at least I looked decent when Ben got home.

Sorry to hear Scarlett is sick. Hope she's feeling better today. Lindy has a gross cold, too, so I can identify with the snot everywhere. I am also sorry your camera met its maker on your kitchen floor. :o( I am sure Brody will pick something cool for you as its replacement.

Your glam life sounds pretty much like mine and every other SAHM's. I told Santa he doesn't need to bring my normal Lancome pressed powder because I still have an unopened compact. Apparently, I'm not using as much as I used to...Go figure...

Hope Thursday is better and that no one else gets the crud.

Love,
Lisa

Please who takes a shower before noon anyway?! I wonder sometimes what Mary did when Jesus had days where he had yucky boogers and kissed her smack on the face or something like that. Did she treasure those things in her heart? Oh the glam life of a SAHM!

On behalf of all the working dads out there -- we read your blog and love it...especially that one with pictures of random stuff in your house. But, the real kicker are those shots of Brody. He reminds me the importance of working out and eating right..at least on Mondays. That man gimmie fever. Hubba Hubba.

Now back to work...next blog. Well maybe facebook, youtube, craigslist...oh my look at the time, it's late...I'm comin' home Jaime. Hope you didn't waste hairspray on my again.

If it's any consolation, I don't have the excuse of caring for or entertaining kids -- and I've yet to shower (or put on deodorant, for that matter). My excuse is that I'm just at home working on my thesis (clearly I've taken a break). But let's face it, this is my standard Thursday routine. And Saturdays, too, when time allows for some sloth. What can I say, this is my sick and twisted version of "Sabbath rest".....

Bummer that Scarlett is sick. I think sometimes that they get sick just that it makes me wash the comforters on a regular basis!! At least at my house :-)
If I want a shower these days before lunch I have to get up 2 1/2 hours before school starts. Lets just say it often doesn't happen! I'm sure you look glam even in your jammies and no shower.

If we're being totally honest then I feel that I yelled and threatened my two year old into taking a nap so that I could have some "me" time. Hope your day gets better and Scarlett feels better too. I don't know that there's much worse than a sick kiddo.
