FIVE!

My sweet buddy is five years old. It seems like that's a turning point...he's a "big boy" now.

Thankfully, since his birthday is in August I don't have to send him to school just yet...I think a young five year old is just too little to go to kindergarten. (but that's just my personal opinion). Plus...I WANT one more year with him at home. Once they go to school, it's over...time just starts flying!!

Happy happy birthday! You're a Harry Potter pretending, picture taking, Lego playing, silly face making, sister loving boy and we love you more every day!

Happiest of birthdays to my sweet, tender hearted, creative, animal loving, Dora playing, brother wrestling, picky eating, book loving girl. You make every day more fun!!!

Way back in April...

During Fiesta week, Scarlett's school had a parade. It was during Brody's first surgery and I wasn't much help, but my sweet mom made Scarlett's float for her and I was able to go up to her school that morning and get some pictures.

Clark found some streamers on the ground in the gym and had a great time pretending he was in the parade too. ha!

I know all of this is old news by now, but I don't want to forget what her float looked like. Those days are all a blur to me, but she had a great time and I want to remember the good things that happened at the end of the school year, and not just the hospital junk.

Catch up

I wanted to catch up on the end of the year festivities for the kids. Clark had his Fiesta parade at school the end of April. Instead of making a shoebox float, we made a "stroller float". It was big, but much easier for Clark to maneuver around the school parking lot!

Mimi is so sweet to always come when the kids have school functions.

Scarlett had a Fine Arts performance at the end of May. Her ballet class did a little dance. She looked so pretty! She also won first place at the Speech Meet, so after her dance she changed clothes and then recited her speech for everyone...but I guess I didn't get pictures of that! :(

The Kinder, first and second grade also had an end of the year music program. Can you guess the theme?! haha

Long time, no write

So sorry...it's been a while. I know that I probably don't even have any readers, but I want to make this into a book some day and I wasn't quite ready for my Easter post to be the final one!

For the few of you that do read, you probably know that Brody had surgery twice in the last two months...once for his large intestine twisting, and the second for his small intestine! Hopefully he's on the road to recovery and I can get this blog back in business!!
