Our Saturday

What do you do when Daddy has to work on Saturday? Why, help Mommy with chores, of course!

No wonder it takes me twice as long to get things done when Brody has to work. But I must admit, I love my little helpers :)

You have the cutest helpers. I think it's so great when kids want to help. Morgandy loves to help me unload groceries. In fact yesterday I told her she couldn't help me unload them because she was not acting acceptably and that was the worst punishment I've ever given her! You would have thought I'd killed her puppy or something. (Not that she has a puppy, but you get the idea :) ).

Take the help when you can get it, I guess. According to the Love and Logic book that is a great way to build self esteem and make children become self sufficient people...even if it makes the job harder on us at least it is a teaching tool.

You can never start them too young to help...

Definitely the cutest housekeepers on the block!

While it might make it harder now, they will learn how to do it and in no time at all they will be able to do it well and you wont have to anymore. My older two kids can completely unload the dishwasher by themselves and it is awesome to not have to do that anymore. :) Responsibility is good for them.
