I can now cross off "learn how to make curtains" from my list of things to get Mom to teach me. Friday she helped me make these, and they really weren't that hard. I had meant to take "before" and "after" pictures, but of course, forgot. I used to just have a dark denim curtain, so it will probably take me a while to get used to having any type of print, but I think after living with it for a while, I'll like it.

I still need to get a new rug for the back door, but you get the main idea. I also bought a slip cover for the chair in the family room. Since everything is so open, it kind of makes sense to have all the same colors in both rooms to help with the "flow". It is kind of a pain to have to keep tucking it in, but I'm sure I'll get used to that too, and it was much cheaper than the alternative of buying a new chair. Mom also helped me make pillows, but that was the last lesson of the day so it's safe to say I would not be able to make those again on my own.

So, there you go
Maegan...since you're the one who requested the pics :) And thanks Mom for all your help!
On a totally separate note I need to send a shout out to Jenn. I had a great time Saturday shopping. It reminded me of our single days when we'd drive to Austin and get that yummy candy bar at Central Market and then shop at Harold's. I kind of almost felt like a girl in my 20's again :) And since I'm mentioning you on the blog, let me take this opportunity to say you should start one of your own!!!!
