Fun times

What is it with kids and boxes? They played in them forever, and when Clark went down for a nap Scarlett took her markers to the box and made a masterpiece :)

This is what Scarlett did while I was busy feeding Clark. I know it's blurry but it was the best shot I could get. Notice the stool in the background. That's where the sprinkles were. She calls them sparkles. It's amazing what she can do when she really puts her mind to it. She was making me a thank you card...can't you tell?! Hey, she had a great time, and I got to feed Clark in peace, so in my book it was a win-win.

Short and sweet

There's nothing really new going on around here. Last week was a pretty wild one, so I'm hoping this Spring Break is uneventful. Here's a little of what we've been up to:

Clark is seven months old!! He loves getting into EVERYTHING, taking baths, and practicing his new skill, pulling up. We are going to have our hands full with this busy boy, but he is quite the cutie and charmer. One smile from him and I just melt :)

Scarlett is such a little pill. Here she is playing "Marie" from the Aristocats. You can see she dresses the part with a "collar" on (it's a hairbow attached to a ribbon that is tied around her neck) I had to really convince her not to wear it to Mother's Day Out! And...don't forget the milk in her bowl...she was really into her character that day.

Here is one of the few pictures of Brody and me without the kids! Last week was my birthday, so we had a fun night out at LaFonda on Main. I meant to bring my camera to take a picture there, but I was in such a hurry to get out the door I forgot it.

Tub time

This is kind of a random post, but Clark moved to a bigger tub this weekend. I wanted to take a little trip down memory lane to see the transition, and I have kind of been wondering if the kids look alike...let me know what you think:

Scarlett has really been into taking showers lately. She doesn't get to do it all the time, but she loves it when we let her...such a big girl!

Tennis anyone?

Brody has been very busy this month at work. This past weekend he worked a tournament. The weather was SO beautiful here that we decided to go watch some tennis. Clark was a champ and was happy to smile at anyone that looked his way. It was the first time Scarlett actually watched a match and there was a little to learn. She sat on the grass right in front of the court to get a good view. Our conversation went something like this:
Scarlett: (with head going from left to right) full voice: Oh, that man missed. But he will try again
Me: in a tiny whisper: yes, he missed, but we have to be very quiet when we watch tennis
Scarlett: loud voice again: He is yellin'. It's not nice to yell.
Me: in a quiet voice again: no, it's not nice to lose your temper, but you HAVE to whisper

Eventually she got the hang of it and really loved watching. The next day, we decided to go out again. Sadly, we missed the finals because Clark needed a nap, but we did have time for Scarlett to play a little with Daddy. She MAYBE hit three balls the entire time, but she still had a blast.

Happy Heart Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from our family to yours! One of these days I hope to get a picture of both kids smiling where you can actually see that Scarlett has pretty blue eyes...but today was not that day :)
